Overview

Designed and built for El Seif, a small brand in Maadi, Cairo, that salts fesikh, herring, sardines and fish roe by hand at home. Customers can browse the menu, add items to a cart and send their order in a few steps. The owner gets each order on WhatsApp. The site is in Arabic and made for phones first.

The challenge

What was not working

Before, customers ordered by chatting back and forth on WhatsApp. The brand wanted a simple way to show its menu with photos and prices. Each order also had to reach the owner complete, with the items, total and address.

The solution

What I built

Built a menu with search, sections, photos and prices, and a pop-up for each item. Customers add items with one tap, and a bar at the bottom shows the count and total. At checkout they enter their name, phone and address, and the owner gets the full order on WhatsApp. The site also has a reviews page with star ratings and a contact page. An admin panel lets the owner manage orders, prices, photos and reviews.
